This map by Johann Baptist Homann (1633-1724) dated 1722 depicts the Holy Roman Empire of Charles V. Engraved in Nuremberg, by Homann who was the Imperial Geographer to the Emperor. The map includes parts of Poland, Hungary all the way to south of the Gulf of Venice. One of the Homann's early maps, it was drawn and engraved to capture the greatness of Emperor Charles VI. Crisp print and very elaborate cartouche. Holds its original color. On hand laid cotton paper with hand coloring.
