Winnie the Pooh, or simply “Pooh” or “Pooh Bear”. this delightful character was created by A. A. Milne 1925 for the London News, and illustsrated by E.H. Shepard. Inspired by a stuffed toy that Milne bought his son Christopher Robin at the famous Harrods Department Store in London, Pooh has delighted children for a century. The stories and illustrations are set in the distinctive landscape of Ashdown Forest, called “The Hundres Acre Wood” in the books. Many illustrations match actual views, and many original drawings for the books are housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. We have many from this series, prices per print, black and white lithographs, custom matted 8” by 8”, each from the 1940s.
