Henri Valachman (1925-2000) was a French artist, born in Paris. He attended the Art School of Paris, and received the Art Prize of Longjumeau as well as the Art Prize of the Council of Essonne. He was a member of the Salon Violet, and was awarded numerous other art prizes between 1986 and 1996, culminating in the Medal of Merit in the Art Field. He became renowned for his post-impressionist work in cubist style, as well as his work in vibrant and dynamic color sensibility, clearly on display here. Valachman has unquestionably left his mark on European fine art, and we are delighted to offer this oil on canvas, signed lower right, titled on verso, and in original frame.
