Frank Taylor (b. 1943) delivers a cubist’s unique perspective of the idyllic Greek isle, situated in southern Greece, just north of Crete. Oil on board, it is signed lower right and is under glass. The work has lable on verso with name and location indicated as well. The Englishman studied fine art at Cardiff and Brighton Colleges of Art, and has held senior posts at Amherst School of Art and Salisbury College of Art. Taylor has exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Institution, and currently hangs in several notable galleries. He gained notoriety for his solo exhibitions at the Enid Lawson Gallery in London. Measures with frame 28” x 22.5”, without frame 16.5” x 11”.
