Henri Valachman (1925-2000) was a French artist, born in Paris. He attended the Art School of Paris, and received the Art Prize of Longjumeau as well as the Art Prize of the Council of Essonne. He was a member of the Salon Violet, and was awarded numerous other art prizes between 1986 and 1996, culminating in the Medal of Merit in the Art Field. He became renowned for his post-impressionist work in cubist style, as well as his work in vibrant color - this excellent work delivers both. Valachman has unquestionably left his mark on European fine art, and we are delighted to offer the piece.
