Born in Washington, D.C., Farrington studied at the Corcoran School of Fine Arts at George Washington University. After enlisting in the Air Force and serving in the Korean War, he moved to Venice, California, where he began working as a commercial artist, and to paint independently. Appreciated for his Californian and Mexican scenes, he became quite well known with the stars of the 50’s and 60’s hollywood scene, such as Carol Burnett, Johnny Carson, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, all of whom collected his work.
