Oil on canvas in lovely, detailed original frame, signed lower right by Anatole Hillairet (1880-1928). Hillairet was a French artist, born in LeChay. He attended the prestigious School of Fine Arts in Paris (l’Ecole des Beaux Arts) where he found his artistic voice through his muted, imressionisty style. He exhibited in 1907 at the Salon des Independants, and in 1909 at the Salon de Automme.
